The following 3 videos are directly from the Texas Retirement System website. They are very good but are also very general. They use several times the phrase "normal retirement". Normal retirement means you have met certain age and "years of service" requirements, changing with what tier you fall in (there are 5 tiers). Retiring too early by mistake can cost you half or more your lifetime retirement income. That would be devastating. For example; some rules are, you must meet the "rule of 80" (age and years of service equal 80), or must be age 62 or age 65.
I recommend you scheduling a Zoom meeting with me and I can give you your "Normal Retirement" age in 10 minutes. Plus show you how a Tax free 7702 plan can greatly enhance your retirement income goals.
(remember: your Teacher Pension income will be totally taxed at the ordinary tax rate)
